IMPROVE YOUR BRIDGE! |
![]() TestimonialsDorothy Kirshner, Little Egg Harbor. New Jersey After attending a lecture on a Holland America Cruise, I decided to buy BRIDGE 101. Although I have played Bridge for 20 years, my partner and I are now able to communicate and play with more precision. I feel we have improved our game at least 50%. I highly recommend this book for those who enjoy playing Bridge and feel they would like to play better. Leatha Dubra,Surrey, B.C. Canada I was privileged to go to a lecture given by Allan Budoff while visiting a relative in Southern California. I was so impressed by his approach to the game of Bridge that I purchased his book BRIDGE 101. My partner and I are now winning on a consistent basis. Anita G. Harris, Calabasas, California I have always wanted to learn to play Bridge and was surprised to find that Pierce College was offering Bridge lessons. I signed up and was introduced to BIG AL and BRIDGE 101 and am now working to be a Life Master Bridge player. I use BIG AL'S Bidding system and am very happy that I took the lessons. I enjoy Bridge very much as a retired widow. James H. Caldwell, Detroit, Michigan I was on a Costa Cruise with my wife and saw that they offered Bridge lectures. These lectures was given by BIG AL and after one lecture bought his book BRIDGE 101. After adopting the BIG AL Bidding System as outlined in the book we are now able to play as a couple and thoroughly enjoy the game of Bridge. We are now ardent Duplicate players and winning like never before. Dear Al and Flo; Normally I just let onboard introductions fade, but this is too good to pass up. I played my first game of Duplicate yesterday (11 tables in the "299 group" with a man who was looking for a partner. We did some quick "I play ; you play" and played 27 boards. And for the first time in my life (which is verrry long) I came in first with a 61. something score and got 2.8 points. Not that the pints will get me anything at the grocery store! As I palyed at each table the other team would ask me about the cruise and I would tell them I had Bridge lessons every morning from an old wheeler dealer who bragged that he never had a bridge lesson or read a bridge book. Every single one asked me why I would waste my time. I told them all I found it very informative and sensibly useful. AND I PROVED RIGHT! I got lots of hugs and handshakes in the end and I am still up in the air. So keep up the good work, you do a very good job and your lessons were the highlight of my trip (outside of meeting Flo). My best Jerry Ritter Dear Big Al I bought your book BRIDGE 101 at one of your lectures on the Golden Princess in December of 2009. My husband and I have studied the book after returning home. I can't thank you enough. For the past 2 weeks since returning home, not only have our Duplicate Bridge scores improved dramatically, we have had not one missed interpretation of our bidding. It is pleasure to play Bridge and understand what information my husband, Roger, was transmitting to me. Bridge is really fun now. Please send me 2 more copies of Bridge 101 for my friends. Hope we meet again on another cruise. Jane and Roger Holbrook Sent: 12/29/2009 11:13:23 A.M. Pacific Standard Time Subj: Bridge 101 Big Al This book is exactly what I needed, as I am trying to teach bridge to a group of whist players. They didn't need to slog through Goren's Bridge Complete and most of those cheat sheets don't provide enough reasoning behind the rules. We'll work our way through your book and have some fun. Thanks again. Ken Burley
